Frequently Asked Questions

Please email me at floralilybirthschool@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Hypnobirthing is suitable for anyone who is expecting a baby and is interested in a calm, positive birthing experience. It can be beneficial for first-time parents, as well as those who have had previous births. Hypnobirthing can be practiced in any type of birth setting for any type of birth, whether you plan to give birth at home, in a birthing centre, or in a hospital.

No, you will not be hypnotised in the traditional sense. Hypnobirthing involves self-hypnosis, which is a state of deep relaxation and focused concentration. You will remain fully aware and in control during the process. The techniques taught in hypnobirthing help you to relax, reduce fear, and manage pain during labour.

It is generally recommended to start a hypnobirthing course between 25 and 30 weeks of pregnancy. This gives you ample time to learn and practice the techniques before your due date. However, you can start earlier if you prefer, or later if you have discovered hypnobirthing closer to your delivery date. The key is to give yourself enough time to feel comfortable with the methods.
